JE22 Whiteite with Lazulite
Rapid Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada
4.6x 3.8x 4.0 cm

A rich specimen of whiteite, hosting numerous crystals of the mineral, along with a comparatively generous lazulite association.

This locality is located near the northernmost part of the Yukon Territory-- almost near the Arctic Ocean.  The area is best known for its phosphate minerals, including gormanite, kulanite, and vivianite (in addition to the whiteites and lazulites), and is actually the type locality for 12 new species, all but one of them phosphates.
