A really great rhodizite-londonite specimen, with multiple crystals on matrix. This piece has a very sharp crystal showing a deeper-than-usual color, which contrasts nicely with the pink liddicoatite in the matrix. The other crystals are concentrated on the bottom left part of the specimen, slightly visible in the picture at right.
The max dimension of the main crystal is approximately 1.5 cm.
The first time I visited Madagascar, undamaged specimens were virtually impossible to find. The second time there were more available, though as always the majority still suffered from damage issues, and a couple even had crystals glued on.
Of course, I checked all my purchases carefully, so there is no danger of purchasing a fake.
