SMQ11 Quartz incl. Schorl, Cleavlandite
Governador Valadares, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil
17.4x 11.1x 6.4 cm
$850

A cabinet specimen of quartz on blady clevlandite. At first glance the main crystal appears to be smoky, though it is actually clear and derives its color from dark schorl inclusions. There is a secondary crystal on the back with a chipped termination, though when displayed correctly this secondary crystal is not visible. You can see very minute microchipping under a loupe, though again, this does not effect the display. The piece is very aesthetic and displays perfectly, I only mention these things for the ultra-picky. At the end of the day though, what you see in the pictures is exactly what you get.
