A very good example of cubic galena from Peru. If it were not for the botryoidal Sphalerite, this could almost pass for Viburnum trend material.
Most of the galena from Peru these days is from the Palomo Mine, but those (and the older pieces from elsewhere) are almost never simply cubic—they are usually coboctahedrons or have dodecahedral modifications.
It’s an unusual piece—if you see a lot of Peruvian rocks, it stands out.
