SVP03 Autunite
Daybreak Mine, Spokane Co., Washington, United States
7.0x 6.9x 2.2 cm

A very hard to find cabinet sample of radioactive autunite from the Daybreak Mine, in eastern Washington.  This piece has been stabilized, and is solid and safe to ship.  The tendency of these autunites to dehydrate and come apart without stabilization is perhaps one reason for the lack of available cabinet specimens-- especially when you consider that most were found over 40 years ago.  Whatever the case, that is not a concern with this one, and this is a good chance to obtain a decent piece from this classic locality.
