219T01 Fluorite
Fluorite occurrence, Mandrosonoro, Ambatofinandrahana, Amoron'i Mania, Madagascar
23.0x 16.0x 8.7 cm
$950

A large cabinet sized specimen form a recent find of fluorite in Madagascar, certainly the best examples from the country found to date.

I first started seeing small amounts of this material in 2016, but it was not until last year that I saw well crystalized examples.  These display a degree of UV reactivity-- not quite as strong as the stuff from Rogerly, but the phenomenon is definitely present.  The largest crystal on this piece measures 5.2 cm on edge,  and the specimen is overall very clean of damage.

At the moment these seem to be ridiculously undervalued-- you are getting a lot of bang for your buck.  Even the abundant Chinese fluorites would be much more expensive, for a piece of comparative quality.

219T12 Prehnite on Epidote
Bendoukou, Sandare District, Kayes Region, Mali
7.1x 6.8x 3.6 cm
$345

An excellent and very sculptural example of prehnite on epidote.  This piece has a single prehnite orb positioned on the top corner of the main (doubly terminated) epidote crystal, and there is a cluster of intersecting crystals clinging to the back of the main crystal.

Yes, there has been a lot of this stuff available over the last several years, but this one really stands out.  The luster of the epidote, the depth of color of the prehnite, and most importantly the overall complexity, balance and beauty of the arrangement really make it stand out as a great example of this material.

219T14 Prehnite
Merelani, Arusha, Tanzania
7.7x 4.6x 4.2 cm
$165

A beautiful example of unusually translucent prehnite crystals. These recently discovered examples are probably the finest prehintes ever found-- to begin with just finding visible crystals is something of a rarity (think of all the pseudo-botryoidal material from New Jersey, Meigu, and India that account for 97% of the examples on the market) to say nothing of the  incredible color.  These display a degree of color shift, being at their most vivid in indirect sunlight or equivalent lighting (as shown in the pictures.)

219T16 Prehnite
Merelani, Arusha, Tanzania
5.7x 4.7x 1.7 cm
$125

A beautiful plate of translucent prehnite crystals, with an incredibly saturated color-- it looks more like a green smithsonite from the 79 Mine than the usual pale green smithsonite, with the exception of its superior translucency.   These recently discovered examples are probably the finest prehintes ever found-- to begin with just finding visible crystals is something of a rarity (think of all the pseudo-botryoidal material from New Jersey, Meigu, and India that account for 97% of the examples on the market) to say nothing of the translucency an incredible color.  These display a degree of color shift, being at their most vivid in indirect sunlight or equivalent lighting (as shown in the pictures.)

219T17 Prehnite on Epidote
Bendoukou, Sandare District, Kayes Region, Mali
8.1x 5.5x 4.9 cm
$195

A great example of prehnite with epidote, featuring two prehnite orbs on a jackscrew cluster of epidote crystals.  Contacted on the reverse

219T18 Prehnite
Merelani, Arusha, Tanzania
4.5x 2.8x 1.1 cm
$85

A beautiful example of translucent prehnite crystals from Merelani.  These recently discovered examples are probably the finest prehintes ever found, particularly given their translucency and incredible color.  These display a degree of color shift, being at their most vivid in indirect sunlight or equivalent lighting (as shown in the pictures.)

219T19 Prehnite
Merelani, Arusha, Tanzania
6.1x 5.9x 2.5 cm
$135

A beautiful example of translucent prehnite crystals from Merelani.  These recently discovered examples are probably the finest prehintes ever found, particularly given their translucency and incredible color.  These display a degree of color shift, being at their most vivid in indirect sunlight or equivalent lighting (as shown in the pictures.)

219T20 Prehnite on Epidote
Bendoukou, Sandare District, Kayes Region, Mali
4.8x 2.7x 2.6 cm
$85

A beautiful example of prehnite orbs on dark, greenish black epidotes.  Not especially rare, but I thought this was a particularly nicely arranged miniature.
